Newbold-on-Stour residents and Autodesk UK raise £406 for Ettington CFR Scheme

The Bird in Hand Public House in Newbold-on-Stour hosted a fundraising quiz on Sunday 25th September in aid of Ettington Community First Responder Scheme. A generous sum of £203 was raised by participants, this being doubled to £406 thanks to the generosity of Autodesk UK.Host Matthew Homan, Organizer Rachel Currey, and quizmaster and Birthday Boy Chris presided over an entertaining evening that saw close-run competition and the team Four Non-Blondes winning by a solitary point.

Ettington CFR Scheme Secretary, Steve Boreham, said “I am impressed that 35 people joined in this quiz on a Sunday evening and on behalf of the Scheme, extremely grateful to receive the sum raised. To have had such a good time in the company of the welcoming Newbold villagers was the icing on the cake”.

Ettington CFR Team is very grateful to Rachel Curry, a resident of Newbold-on-Stour, who kindly approached the team with an offer to organise this fundraising event.
