Tredington villagers donate £175 to Ettington CFR Scheme

A group of Tredington villagers has raised £175 for Ettington CFR Scheme. The group meet monthly throughout the year and hold a fundraising supper in aid of a chosen charity. In August, the group nominated Ettington CFR Scheme as their beneficiary of the monthly supper.

As part of the evening, Ettington CFR Team members, Russ Inman and Gill Castle, provided a short presentation outlining the work of the team. The team has attended 30 callouts in Tredington in 2011 – all of these being covered by, Gill, our CFR based in nearby Newbold-on-Stour. Without disclosing specific patient details, Gill was able to talk to the group about the range of incidents that she has attended in Tredington.

The event was organised by Tredington villagers Andrew Murray and Sarah Taylor. It was held in Tredington’s spectacular village church – St Gregory’s – which is steeped in history. Following the evening, a cheque for £175 was
presented to the Secretary of Ettington CFR Scheme by Sarah.

Russ Inman said; “We are very grateful to Sarah, Andrew and all their friends for so kindly choosing Ettington CFR Scheme as the beneficiary for their August fundraising supper and for their generous donation. Gill and I would also like to thank the group for the exceptional hospitality that was extended to us on the evening – including the wonderful supper that the group invited us to attend. We were delighted to have the opportunity to present to the group; the various discussions during the evening were very useful to both ourselves and to the Tredington residents”.
