ECFRS Launch Publicity Campaign

  • by

Ettington Community First Responder Scheme has started the New Year by featuring in a publicity campaign to promote the work of the responding members (known as CFRs) and encourage more members of the public people to consider volunteering for this role.
Our first foray into the news was a three page glossy spread in the Warwickshire Focus which is delivered monthly as part of the Stratford Herald. This article described the lifesaving work of our CFRs alongside the Ambulance Service in the Stourdene villages of Ettington and Fulready, The Pillertons, Halford, Alderminster, Newbold on Stour and Tredington.
We then formed the heart of a recruitment campaign by West Midland Ambulance Service where a release from their press office led to an article in the Herald and an appearance on Touch fm for two of our team, CFR Russ Inman and Scheme Co-ordinator Alison Joyner. The campaign hopes to encourage more people to volunteer both as Community First Responders and as Fundraisers.
